Merry Christmas & thank you
With 2 days to go and everyone now starting to wrap up for Christmas, we just wanted to squeeze in a massive thank you to all of you for your continued support, which as ever is so extremely valuable to LM and all of us here at ‘HQ. It’s been good introducing you to ‘I Speak Because I Can’, via tour dates in the UK, Europe, America, Canada, Australia and back to the UK again, plus all the festivals in between. We hope it keeps you company for many years to come.
Over on YouTube, we’ve been nurturing a little playlist of studio sessions and live videos from the past year and beyond. The most recent discovery is a quite touching little crowd singalong to ‘Failure’ at the recent Norwich show. The playlist also includes those Spinning On Air session videos (‘Don’t Ask Me Why’ and ‘Rest In The Bed’) and more. View it here.
As far as plans for 2011 are concerned, other than the previously mentioned date supporting Iron & Wine in LA, the first few months of this new year will see LM knuckle down to that third album…
We will keep you as updated as possible, without ruining the surprise, via the LM Facebook page.
A very Merry Christmas to you all – stay happy, healthy and well.
LM HQ x

Hi, don’t forget to vote for Laura’s album in the Spiral Earth awards 2011 at http://www.spiralearth.co.uk
Old Leightonian
I was a few years below Laura at Leighton park, and I just wanted to say that I am amazed. I remember the first time she played in a school collect, and how beautiful and pure her music was. I have bought every song Laura has ever released (including Noah + The Whale), and every time they play one of her songs on the radio it brings the biggest smile to my face. Laura probably wouldn’t remember ever meeting me, or the time she gave me singing tips back when we were both at Lp, but it is heart-warming to know that someone as lovely as her has achieved her dreams. I can’t wait for the next album, and for the day that Laura plays somewhere that I can actually go and watch her!
I may not have had the best time at Lp, but they obviously did something right with Laura.
Keep smiling, you’re giving me hope.
Brian
Happy New Year Laura ):-) I really love your music, and hope you will tour New Zealand when next you come down this way.

Can anyone tell me where the marsh scenery in the video for ‘Devils Spoke’ was shot? This scene is where LM has a drum among other items and looks over the small hills with the scrub pine(?). Really love the music and videos, GREAT Stuff!
Cheers,
M
